Year Round Programs
Ermine Adventures
(ages 3-6)
Our first year-round program for our youngest Wilderness Awakening participants! Secure Green Time and the opportunity to explore nature in a consistant container! The mixed age group allows for leadership skills and mentorship among the members. From our favorite destinations of the National Wildlife Refuge, to Theo Wirth, and Silverwood, it is topped with a CAMP-OUT at Samsara Ridge!
Fox Adventures
(ages 6-8)
One Sunday per month, five hours a day, gift your child the ritual of a day immersed in play that builds connections with the flora, fauna and ecology of Theo Wirth Park, National Wildlife Refuge, and Samsara Ridge. Samsara Ridge is our property in St. Croix Falls, where we do a Spring overnight!
This program supports your child in a consistent community centered around nature led free-play over the course of nine months.
Otter Adventures
(ages 7-9)
One Saturday per month, five hours a day, gift your child the ritual of a day immersed in play that build connections with the flora, fauna and ecology of Theo Wirth Park, Silverwood Park, and Samsara Ridge. Samsara Ridge is our property in St. Croix Falls, where we do a Fall & Spring weekend retreat!
Outdoor Odyssey
(ages 9-17)
Outdoor Odyssey is a year-long program for youth to deeply experience and engage in place-based nature connection to receive the plethora of gifts all of our seasons have to offer, while being away from the city and immersed in a magical landscape. Outdoor Odyssey encompasses two groups, the Pre-Teen (9-12) and Teen group (13-17).
Each month the groups will retreat to the Saint Croix River Valley at Wilderness Awakening’s rural campus called Samsara Ridge, just north of St. Croix Falls, WI. For eight of the twelve months, we will camp out together on the land. During the coldest months of December through March, we will have a day-long retreat to experience the heart of winter in the woods.
