General Terms and Conditions
These are the terms (the “Agreement”) that govern your attendance at and/or participation in
a class or a session or a workshop or a course or programme or activity or retreat (herein
after referred to as “Event”) organised by Xiu Nature Connections and their owners, directors,
officers, agents, employers, guides, facilitators, trainers, coaches, instructors (herein after
collectively referred to as “XIU”).
By registering for the Event, you are agreeing to these terms, which form an agreement
between XIU and the registered attendee and/or participant (“you”). If you are registering on
behalf of another or others, and/or if you are registering through a third party operator and/or
reservation platform, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person(s) attending is/are
aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration and/or
confirming an Event and/or attending the Event you are warranting that you have made the
attendee(s) aware of these terms and that they have understood and accepted these terms.


Registration and Payment
1. Your registration and due payment of applicable fee(s) entitles you to admittance and
attendance to the Event. You are aware of all information related to registration and
payment that are publicized or made known to you prior to the Event. These include
information relayed to you through any publicized materials, emails, correspondences,
brochures, proposals, invoices and quotations.


Cancellations
2. XIU reserves the rights to approve or reject any cancellations of registrations and/or
payments.
3. XIU reserves the rights to approve or reject any requests for refunds. If approved, you
will have to bear the administrative charges as set by XIU and XIU reserves the rights
to issue full or partial refunds.
4. XIU has the sole discretion to cancel any Event. This may or may not be due to any of
the following circumstances:
a. The Event has not received sufficient registrations to meet the minimum
number of participants;
b. Other conditions that render the Event unsuitable in the sole discretion of XIU.
5. In the event of cancellation of an Event which occurs at the sole discretion of XIU, XIU
will make the necessary arrangements for a replacement Event that is up to the sole
discretion of XIU, without further additional charges from the participant, or, will
arrange for a refund which may include a deduction of any administrative charges to
be borne by the participant
6. Paragraphs 2 to 5 set out the general terms and conditions pertaining to cancellations.
Specific terms and conditions pertaining to the Event as described in any documents
related to the Event, including marketing advertisements, brochures, invoices,
quotations, proposals, any correspondences, also make up the terms of the
Agreement.


Liability and Disclaimer
7. XIU and the Event(s) organised by XIU are not intended as medications, treatments or
therapies, and are not intended as substitute(s) of the same. You have the
responsibility to seek medical recommendations of registered physicians, mental
health professionals or other health-care professionals for your medical condition(s),
as well as to seek and consult your medical professionals about your suitability to
participate in any Event(s).
8. XIU shall under no circumstances be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental,
or consequential costs, damages or losses arising directly or indirectly from the Event
or other aspect related thereto or in connection with this Agreement.
9. The maximum aggregate liability of XIU for any claim in any way connected therewith
or with this Agreement whether in contract, tort or otherwise (including any negligent
act or omission) shall be limited to the amount paid by you to XIU under this
Agreement to attend the Event.


Participant Warranties
10. By registering for the Event, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:


a. Outdoor activities entail known and unanticipated risks that may involve risk
or accident or danger of mishap to the participants. You accept these risks
and take responsibility for your own well-being and safety during the Event.
b. You voluntarily release, waiver, discharge and hold harmless XIU from any
and all claims of liability which are in any way connected with your
participation in the Event.
c. You agree that this Agreement is intended to absolve XIU from any liability,
claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or in
relation to any loss, damage or injury including death, that may be sustained
by any participants of the Event howsoever caused.
d. You have the responsibility to inform and declare to XIU on any medical
conditions(s) or health concern(s) that may be critical to your well-being and
safety during the Event upon registration for the Event.
e. You will be included into XIU email subscription list(s). XIU will not share your
email address(es) for any other purposes. You are also aware that you haveRe-membering Pte. Ltd. 2020 - 2022 3
the option to unsubscribe from the list(s) at any time by updating your
subscription preferences.
f. Photographs and/or videos of yourself may be taken before, during, and/or
after the Event for promotional use. You authorise XIU to use such
photographs and/or videos for promotional, publicity or other marketing
activities, which may include the use on social media, websites, and printed
collaterals. If you are not comfortable with having photographs and/or videos
that include you be taken and possibly used in these ways, you will inform the
XIU whether through email or verbally inform the facilitator(s) and/or coach(es)
and/or instructor(s) and/or guide(s) before the commencement of the Event.


11. This Agreement shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Singapore and any
dispute between the parties will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Singapore.
